WHAT DOES THE METHOD CONSIST OF?

The specialist performs beforehand a precise examination with a dedicated ultrasound apparatus to determine the site of the damaged vein area and assess the required dose for the injection of sclerosant. He also takes a photo of the section before the manipulation of the injured limb.

Dr. Galily injects sclerosant in the form of a foam into the venous vessel to induce a reaction of narrowing of the vein and adherence of the walls of the damaged area. The injected substance is subsequently absorbed by the body. Other blood vessels or adjacent tissues are unaffected during manipulation.
